RMH 2017 Schedule and Fees

In 2017, Spring Canyon will offer 10 RMH Sessions as well as one RMH Veterans program.  Sessions of RMH are open to service academies, ROTC cadets, college students, and newly commissioned officers. RMH Vets is exclusively offered to enlisted and officer veterans who are within one year of returning from GWOT-related deployments, and those who are within one year of separating from the service–at no cost.  Participants must provide their own airfare to/from Denver International Airport.

Rocky Mountain High Fees

Military – $600

Civilian – $650

Rocky Mountain High is made possible by generous donors and Officer’s Christian Fellowship.  Scholarships (covering the program fees only) are available for those facing financial difficulties.  Contact us as outdoor@springcanyon.org for details and applications.  All applications for scholarship must be received not later than 1 May to be eligible for consideration.

A Preview of Adventures

Camp Buxton base camp is located on the Spring Canyon Conference Center grounds at 9,000 ft. just outside of Buena Vista, CO.

Here’s a sample weekly schedule:

  • Day 1: Intros to fellow RMH students and the guide staff—Inbrief about the upcoming week
  • Day 2: White water rafting on the Arkansas River—Team building
  • Day 3: Rock climbing and rappelling
  • Day 4: Depart for trek headed for a 14,000-foot peak in the Rockies
  • Day 5: Day 2 of your trek—Solo time to reflect on your experience
  • Day 6: Summit a 14,000-foot peak in the heart of the Rockies
  • Day 7: Hike back from the peak—Relax at the hot springs
  • Day 8: Final devotional time and debrief
